Awful Article 1 — Trying too Hard
Have your ever noticed this phenomenon where you trying to to do a task, maybe it’s a goal your trying to achieve and thoughts of doing the work itself gets exhausting rather then the actual work.
You put ample of the time thinking about it, then create a plan, then create a schedule that best fits your day, try the schedule for few days, later come back to the schedule with a few tweaks to enhance it further to be more efficient and productive.
Now you have an amazing goal, an amazing plan with precise schedule to get the most out of your day. And your give your best and somewhere down the line you are trying so hard, the thought of what I need to do next starts sucking life out of you.
You might start a task half an hour late and then it cascades, next tasks are delayed and your day starts falling apart little by little.Now instead of focusing on the current task, you keep thinking of the delay and how it will hamper your upcoming task.
You are now at a point where you are thinking so hard, exhausting you brain gradually in very small amount through your day, that at the end the day it feels dreadful if you did not follow your schedule accurately.
At the end, you are trying so hard, that trying hard itself exhausts you of the drive you had when you had first started. It is not helping you at this point. You had created this schedule and mindset to aid you in the difficult times. But this in return has become somewhat a dead-weight and a roadblock which you need to conquer.
Let go of the try hard feeling, the schedule is there to guide you and not to intimidate you. You still have to give your best, but not by thinking about it all the time, but by actually giving your best during that time period your working on your craft. Enjoy it while your doing it. Because once you have conquered it, you will have to prepare for even bigger badder demons that are next in line.
Conclusion — Don’t try so hard that it itself becomes a challenge. But focus on the task at hand and get the most out of it.
